Singers Mandy Moore and Ryan Adams Finally Finalize Divorce
Mandy Moore and Ryan Adams, the two popular singers who have been married for the last six years, recently finalized their divorce. As a result, the marriage between the two celebrities has reached its end-point and is now over.
The divorce also brings to a conclusion the lengthy separation between Moore and Adams. The ex-spouses initially separated way back in January 2015. Since that time, they have been working on an amicable divorce.
However, as is often the case with high net worth divorces, the divorce proceedings proved particularly tricky. Until recently, Moore and Adams were not able to agree on the best way to divide property, cash and other assets. Additionally, there was said to be disagreements over whether either spouse would be entitled to spousal support.
The couple ultimately decided that neither one of them would get alimony once the divorce was finalized.
Additionally, they worked out an amicable settlement to resolve the property division issue: Adams will pay Moore $425,000 in cash. On top of that, Adams will maintain ownership of the couple’s home in Griffith Park, California, the couple’s condo in Beverly Hills, and a 2012 Prius that was shared by the former spouses.
Meanwhile, Adams will get to maintain ownership of multiple automobiles, including a 1959 Cadillac and a 2008 Porsche Carrera. Moreover, Adams will reportedly be allowed to retain an expensive comic book collection and several high-dollar pinball machines.
Perhaps most importantly for the two hit singers, they will each be allowed to retain their own individual music publishing rights. These are the kinds of assets that could have significant long-term value.
