Yannick Cools, Esq.
Cherry Hill Family Law Lawyer

Ron Graziano Profile Picture

Yannick Cools is an associate attorney licensed to practice law in New Jersey and Kansas, with a practice concentrated in family law. He brings substantial litigation and courtroom experience developed through years of representing clients in high-stakes criminal matters as both a public defender and private defense attorney.

Yannick earned his Juris Doctor from Delaware Law School, where he was a member of the Moe Levine Trial Advocacy Honor Society and competed on the school’s trial team. In 2020, his team finished second overall at the Academy of Trial Lawyers of Allegheny County Mock Trial Competition, where Yannick was recognized as the Second Best Overall Advocate.

Yannick began his legal career with the Sedgwick County Public Defender’s Office in Wichita, Kansas, where he represented individuals charged with criminal offenses from 2021 through 2024. He later returned to New Jersey and entered private criminal defense practice in South Jersey, representing clients in matters ranging from municipal offenses to serious indictable crimes. Through both roles, Yannick developed significant jury trial experience and handled numerous contested motions and evidentiary hearings.

Among his trial successes, Yannick served as sole trial counsel in a Gloucester County prosecution in which his client faced potential life imprisonment on serious firearms charges. Following a jury trial, Yannick secured acquittals on all counts.

Yannick now brings that litigation background to his family law practice at Graziano & Flynn, P.C. His years representing clients through difficult and consequential circumstances shaped an approach centered on thorough preparation, direct communication, and strong advocacy. He understands that family law disputes involve deeply personal issues and works to ensure his clients understand both their legal options and the practical consequences of the decisions they face.

Whether a matter can be resolved through negotiation or requires litigation, Yannick approaches each case with careful preparation and a focus on protecting his client’s interests.

Outside of the office, Yannick enjoys spending time with family and friends, following Manchester United, and is a season ticket holder for the Philadelphia Eagles.
